Welcome, Al-Ghanim Bilingual School

A new member

We are pleased to announce that Al-Ghanim Bilingual School (GBS) has signed with us to implement Skoolee, the student information and school management system by White Mountain Technologies (WMT).

GBS is a distinguished school in Kuwait that runs a bilingual (English and Arabic) curriculum across four divisions: Kindergarten (KG 1 - KG 2), Elementary (Grades 1-5), Middle School (Grades 6-8), and High School (Grades 9-12). GBS is accredited by the Council of International Schools and the Kuwait Ministry of Education.

And Skoolee is a management information system for any school, anywhere :)

A good fit

GBS and WMT went through the process of assessing the school’s needs and how Skoolee meets them. The “fit” was great. Surely, every school has its own particularity. It reveals itself in things like the school’s report cards, grade books, analytics, and some workflows. Skoolee addresses this particularity by providing user-configurable tools, which come up with solutions without the need for core software development. Nevertheless, there are solutions that inevitably involve customization, and here code writing comes in. Particularity also reveals itself in the school’s data structures and the school’s wish to migrate current as well as historical and archived data. Be it off-the-shelf, configuration, customization, or migration, WMT provides all these products and services for the comfort and productivity of the school.

Then there is implementation. WMT is always conscious of the school’s wish to implement the management information system expediently and cleanly, and that the school anticipates good training, smooth user acceptance, efficient project hand-over, and, certainly, minimal resistant to change. We understand this and we work with the school to ensure that all of these requirements and wishes are met. As with all such tasks, it takes two wings to fly. Accordingly, we proceeded with the school to lay down the blueprint for the upcoming work, clearly marking GBS’s role, WMT’s role, and the communication procedures that will ensure constructive results and successful closure of the project. Needless to stay, a steering committee comprised of GBS and WMT people plays a decisive role in, well, steering the project towards success.

Our work does not end here; certainly not with project hand-over and closure. You see, we do not sell to the school; we build a relationship with it. And relationships are long-term and ask for replenishment and care. We believe we are good at this through our dedicated after-sales services, maintenance, and support. We put them in writing in our service level agreements; an SLA is a must. The reward is high customer satisfaction and a good word in the market on our behalf. Al-Ghanim Bilingual School, for instance, is an “organic customer” of Skoolee, meaning that they heard about us by word of mouth and referral from another school that implements Skoolee. In turn, GSB and its end-users are relaying good vibes now; they like what they are seeing and are eager to adopt Skoolee application and mobile app.

This is indeed a valuable reward for what we do.

How we intend to continue

And as thus we intend to continue, ensuring customer satisfaction :)
