Abdulrahman Faqih School, Mecca, KSA, agreed with White Mountain Technologies (WMT) to implement its Skoolee, the school management and student information system, and CMS, the content management system. Skoolee is a mature product that provides the necessary back and front-end modules for the school to manage its work and information. The architecture of the product and the technologies used to build it make it robust, scalable, configurable, and easy to use. The functionality of Skoolee is a culmination of years of experience working with schools in the MENA region that run diverse curricula and teaching programs. As a result, Skoolee assimilates this valuable knowledge and know-how to present to the schools a tried, genuine final product that targets the actual and practical needs of the schools. Two focal points in the Faqih project are the Online Exam module of Skoolee and the Arabic deployment of CMS. The Online Exam allows the school to schedule and post exams on the Internet, and the students to take these exams online. Skoolee then proceeds to automatically correct the answers and grade them according to a grading scale pre-set by the school. The school also configures Skoolee to whether or not display the results, and when. Then, students and parents access Skoolee to view their own results. The Arabic CMS provides an online platform to develop and host the school’s website, news releases, and various other content, both in Arabic and English. The CMS gives the school full control over the structure of the website as well as over the content that it wants to display. As such, there is no need to refer to WMT for any related management.
